Who wants to be hypnotized when they could be hypnotouched*?

(It's ALL) About Me (yeah, right!)

I am about many things...to box me into ONE would be a very big mistake.

People experience me as intelligent and offbeat, with a perspective that is NOT down the worn path.
Those who enjoy speaking with me quite frequently find things they didn't even know they were looking for.
If what I have to say seems interesting or might be helpful to you, let's talk!

There is a chat box in the right column,
feel free to chat with others when I am not there, or with me, when I am.
(If you're hearing *blips* while visiting, there is likely to be conversation going on at the time).

On Precaution & Being True to Yourself

There is only one danger I find in life,
you may take too many precautions.
- Alfred Adler

I agree with this statement with an "AND"
attached. Sometimes it is wise to be
careful, and if one logically follows
this statement, and throws caution to
the wind with justification, it is just
as unwise as being too careful.

We have to learn to listen to ourselves,
and know when fear is talking, when love
is talking, when it is OK to move, when
it would be better to wait...

The minute we get caught in our head or
our emotions we can become REactive.
When we REact, we aren't coming from
the most powerful place. It is sometimes
best to step back and take a look at things,
and sometimes it is knowing how to read
the signs, and sometimes it is giving
space for the signs to be uncovered as
emotions and thoughts can get in the way.

Depending on how adept we are at it, it
could take seconds, or it could take
a lot longer.

Either way, the end result is much more
satisfying and peaceful when we can truly
come from within, instead of reacting to
what is outside of ourselves that is
causing our barriers to be alerted and
get in the way of what is truly best
for us.

The best answer isn't someone else's.
It is our own, and oftentimes thoughts
and emotions are based on other people's
thoughts and reactions. They make us
uneasy because something about them don't
fit for us. People often can torture
themselves seeking to live up to what
someone else thinks they should do (and
often it can be an unconscious process,
as they will think that the thing/thought
is truly their own, because they haven't
yet distinguished what is going on).

(Sound like hypnosis?)

Remember, you are very likely to have a
strong sense of peace if you are doing
the right thing for you. You might be
a little nervous about the change, but
I can tell you...some of the biggest
things in my life gave me an incredible
sense of calm when I made my choice.

Were they easy to do? No. However,
the deep inner knowing made it so much
easier to step into the changes.

When you know, you know...you know? :D

  1. Very good advice Isis. It's good to be reminded of how too much of anything can be a detrement, and perspective of all sorts is paramount. To see things from more than just your own angle helps lots in understanding. Had to use both things recently to fix some personal problems; would've been a seriously bigger problem if I didn't step back from being REactive.

Always good to hear wise words from a wise woman
