I don't think I can be Hypnotized: Recordings VS "Live" Sessions

I often get told by people,

"I've listened to many recordings, and
I don't think I can be hypnotized."

Interestingly, they often tell me this
because they are looking to be hypnotized,
and I suppose they're hoping it will work
at some point.

What they don't often realized is that a
recording is a very different experience
than a "live" session.

There are different approaches to how
hypnosis can work, and not every approach,
and/or hypnotist will work for every person,
recording or not.

However, when you listen to a recording,
it is a one way street. You may interact
with a recording, however, there is no real
opportunity for feedback, or adjustment to
YOU and what you need.

I would say that most will listen to recordings
for two main reasons:

1. They think it's safer than talking with
someone

and

2. They figure they'll see what the hypnotist
can do. If she can't hypnotize me, in a recording,
then she won't likely be able to hypnotize me
for real.

Both these assumptions can be proven false.

Just last night I was talking to someone who
listened to a Domme's recording, and when he
told her as much, she claimed she could hypnotize
him any time she wanted to. He didn't believe her,
and moments later he was acting like (and talking
like) a girl (something, incidentally he never
asked for, or wanted).

Secondly, and this is more specific to me, and my
approach, most of my recordings are designed to
work for those already hypnotized by me "live."

I do this, in part, because I want to be responsible
to those who are listening to my work. It is
quite possible that someone could go off and listen
to many of my recordings (if I did it differently)
and be affected by me in ways that I would never
know, or I could never monitor.

While the person who purchases them needs to be
aware of (and take responsibility for) their choices
and the effects thereof, I believe that many people
who listen and get involved in the fetish hypnotic
world do not know what can happen, until it already
has, and then it could quite possibly be too late.

Another reason I do it is to insure quality of
experience. If you listen to a recording without
having the benefit of a one-on-one, then you may not
think much of it at all. Does that mean it isn't
absolutely fabulous unto itself? Not at all...but
it just didn't reach you that way, and/or perhaps
you weren't truly hypnotized.

In addition, I do not often put inductions in my
files. Without an induction, it is quite likely
unless you truly wanted to be hypnotized, the best
experience you could hope for would be to listen
to my voice, and enjoy it, as you would enjoy a
reading of a story. Worst case it could be
frustrating as all heck, as nothing is happening
the way that is suggested, despite all your efforts
to make it happen.

Hopefully this information will give you something
to consider when investigating options. However,
before you pick up the phone (or even engage in
any conversation with a Domme) I highly suggest
you consider what your *gut* says. It is likely
one of the few - if not the only - ways to keep
you as safe as possible. If you feel uncertain
in your gut, I highly recommend you listen.

Correctness? A matter of perspective?

I received this in an email from a friend recently,
and thought I would share it. It may bring some
smiles, and it may give something to think about in
terms of how we approach what we say.

Some would meditate, but never touch hypnosis.
Interestingly...they really aren't much different.
There is much to be said about the perspectives we
have. One perspective can make something permissible,
while another could make the same thing abhorrent.

Encounter with Isis: Enchanted in the Stacks

Hello there!

I hope you are having a great weekend.

As you may know, IsisFollower wrote a few mind control type stories
with my namesake. While these stories are "just" stories, they do
have an "essence" of who I am.

I thought it might be interesting to record these stories. The first
one was just completed today. Some have said that they have found
themselves trancing while just reading the stories, so be forewarned
that the recording may have such an effect. Also know that the at
the end, I do tell you to awaken, should that be your "fate."

Having said that, there are also some creative things I have in mind

As a hypnotist, I am never supposed to even
touch a person's physical symptoms without
the consultation of someone's doctor.

For one reason, it could be considered
"practicing medicine," and could get me in
a whole heap of trouble.

For another reason, the body tries to tell us
"stuff" through its symptoms, and sometimes
symptoms are warnings of something more
serious, and to negate the symptom through
hypnosis is to set someone up for a potential
problem/worse situation.

However, the beauty of hypnosis is that it
works with the unconscious mind, and if
there are things bothering you, then they may
show up as symptoms in your body.

Hypnosis can address things in a way that
can be quite beneficial. You would be amazed
what can happen when you relax. Recently
one of my good boys called congested. At
the end of our call he felt much better, and
sounded almost back to himself.

If you are not feeling well, it might just be a
sign that you need to let some stress go.

aaah...sweet satisfaction

I received this today from one of my sweet

about his experience with me and our

I first called Isis several years ago. I was looking for something that would satisfy, and satisfy deeply. I thought I was looking for something erotic, something sexual. Custom Recordings -> One for You?

"There are no victims in erotic hypnosis"?

I just saw this statement, and wanted to address the idea of it
from my own perspective.

I realize that I am often running counter to what is "out there"
in terms of perceptions, however I have seen way too many
negative things to refrain from saying what I can about what
I have seen.

To truly understand the meaning of "There are no victims in
erotic hypnosis" I decided to look up the definition of victim.

Victim: an unfortunate person who suffers from some
adverse circumstance

Unfortunate: Causing misfortune; disastrous.
Unfortunate: marked or accompanied by or resulting in misfortune

Adverse: Contrary to one's interests or welfare;
harmful or unfavorable

By these definitions, I would have to respectfully disagree
with this statement. I disagree because I have seen those
who suffer from "adverse circumstances" at the hands of
an unethical hypnotist.

I have heard that hypnosis itself is not a problem, it's the
people who are the hypnotists that are. I agree with the
statement. However, the problem with such a statement
is that it leaves way too much room in my mind for people
to have a false sense of security and, even worse, add
feelings that are counterproductive to any helpful process.

Yes, there could be a seed within that contributed to the
issue. However, a seed does not a tree make without the
conditions to make it happen. Sadly, hypnosis can be used
to create the conditions that can be to the detriment of
another.

I don't enjoy saying these types of things, and often I do
not think people believe me. However, as I have said
on many previous occasions, if you knew what I knew,
you might consider reevaluating who and what you believe.

Fetish: Fun?

Sometimes people come to me asking for the things that
they want, and sometimes it isn't always a direction
they should go.

Sometimes they're open to the idea that perhaps their
interest could be curtailed or changed, and sometimes
they want nothing to do with it.

What I try to explain, when there is an openness, is that
I am not suggesting that they give up pleasure - just
replace it with something that really works for them.

Recently I had someone contact me who had gotten into
financial domination in a big way. It took a lot for him
to break away, but apparently he was able to.

Also apparent to me, once he was hypnotized, was the
fact that a part of him still craved the fetish. By the
time we were done, he felt very different, and sounded
amazed, as something that had been so much "him"
wasn't so much him any more, and yet he still felt great.

What he didn't realize calling someone like me (an
erotic hypnotist) is that there are some who would find
that interest, and exploit it. He truly would have been
fairly easily manipulated, if that was a direction I would
have wanted to take him. I could have fairly easily have
fanned the fire, and he'd be off and running again.

Incidentally, as far as I can tell, "official" hypnosis was
never a part of his run away fetish. It all started in an
"innocent" enough way - that had nothing to do with
financial domination. However, there is a lot of unofficial
hypnosis that can contribute to those types of obsessions
that can be harmful.

Unconsciously you likely feel like you are getting
something from your choices, and even though it is
destroying you on some level, another part of you is
reveling in the pleasure which it doesn't want to give up.

Just know that something you claim as "you" doesn't
have to be "you." If you find yourself being driven by
your desire, that is an almost certain sign that something
is unconsciously triggering you.

Be careful.

An erotic hypnotist may exploit that, and you'll never
know what hit you. Better to have it be a CHOICE than
an addiction.

I promise you, you would be amazed by what is possible.

As always, I highly suggest you be careful how you
indulge, and with whom you indulge. There is enough
that happens "naturally," you don't need hypnosis to
push you over the top in a way that can be destructive
to you. It may begin in an "innocent" enough way,
however, be careful about going about reinforcing it.
