Who wants to be hypnotized when they could be hypnotouched*?

(It's ALL) About Me (yeah, right!)

I am about many things...to box me into ONE would be a very big mistake.

People experience me as intelligent and offbeat, with a perspective that is NOT down the worn path.
Those who enjoy speaking with me quite frequently find things they didn't even know they were looking for.
If what I have to say seems interesting or might be helpful to you, let's talk!

There is a chat box in the right column,
feel free to chat with others when I am not there, or with me, when I am.
(If you're hearing *blips* while visiting, there is likely to be conversation going on at the time).

Oh Gender!

O'Reilly was asking a guest about what the downside
of having a woman in the Oval Office would be. The
guest replied, "besides PMS and the mood swings."

HA!

I know some men who can have swings, too. Some men
who can run hot one minute, and cold the next. While
PMS may put a label on behavior and attitude, it is
not exclusive behavior of a gender.

I find it amusing when men say things authoritatively
about things they can't possibly know. I have noticed
on occasion that those who are most verbal about being
pro-life have been men. (This is not to say what they
think/feel/believe is to be discounted, just that I
am observing that there are gender based statements
made about the circumstances of a gender they can not
possibly be intimately aware of...which just strikes
me when there are things that are said and occur based
on some particular gender bias).

While that last statement was parenthetical, it occurs
to me that most gender biased statements come from
the opposite gender. While that may be obvious to
you, it just now occurs to me - at least in this
specific way. And being that they come from the
"other" gender, it is interesting to me because one
can truly never know the other gender, so we are making
statements on things we THINK we know as absolutes,
rather than things we truly DO know which often occur
much more organically, and a lot less predictably, than
we'd like to present/believe them to be.

No wonder we have so many problems sometimes. As always,
curious to hear your thoughts.
