Who wants to be hypnotized when they could be hypnotouched*?

(It's ALL) About Me (yeah, right!)

I am about many things...to box me into ONE would be a very big mistake.

People experience me as intelligent and offbeat, with a perspective that is NOT down the worn path.
Those who enjoy speaking with me quite frequently find things they didn't even know they were looking for.
If what I have to say seems interesting or might be helpful to you, let's talk!

There is a chat box in the right column,
feel free to chat with others when I am not there, or with me, when I am.

Just Because I Can?

The recent "Guilty" determination of Dr. Murray in the
case regarding Michael Jackson's death makes me think
about the on-going conversation I have with those
who are interested...and even those who are not, but
make requests of me that I am able - but unwilling -
to fulfill.

It is a conversation that revolves around the idea
that things can and should be done, because they can
be done. From my side, the topic can be couched
in the question, just because I can, does it mean
I should?

Apparently there is no law that prohibited Dr. Murray
from doing what he did. It seems as though he ran
into trouble by how he went about it. It might seem
that what the did was OK, if you take away how he went
about it. However, if he took a stand and said he
wouldn't do it, he likely would never have gotten to
this place.

Just because he could do it,
does it mean he should have?

Who knows what motivated him? Although one could
possibly guess. It doesn't really matter, though.
In the context of this conversation, the thing I
am looking at is the fact that he chose to do it.

Which brings me to me. From the earliest days of my
erotic, hypnotic calls I found that many wanted me to
do things that I wasn't sure about. Some I did do
eventually, but there are some I have never even
touched.

There seems to be the thought that if I don't do
something it is because I can't, because if someone
wants me to do something to them, and I have the
ability, I should. What I feel and believe and
want should not come into play. Something akin to
"the customer is always right."

There are times things go through my mind and I think
of how they could be done, but then when I think of
the ultimate effect it could have on someone, I know
it is likely not to be something that will ever see
the light of day. Would it be effective? Yes.
Would some think, "WOW"? Yes. Would it make me
money? More than likely. Probably more than a
recording that is intended to be helpful, like Pure
Love: The Gift.

Would I get more interest and more callers if I took
the route my mind sometimes strays to? I am betting
the answer would be yes. And yet...I don't do it.
Interestingly, perhaps, there are times it is
suggested to me that I should be more willing to
make these choices - for the money.

I suppose when one contemplates the above question, it
might be difficult to do it in isolation, without a
piece that considers motivation. But there are
different types of motivation, and some of them can
cause troubling results. In that case, is it worth it -
whatever "it" is.

I once had almost a fight of sorts with someone I
had spoken with previously - on many occasions. He
called me because he wanted me to do something I
was not comfortable with. I told him as much, and
yet he stayed on the phone, eventually getting mad
with me that he had spent his money and didn't get
what he wanted. He conveniently "forgot" that more
than once I had encouraged him to find someone else.
Short of hanging up on him, there wasn't much I
could seem to do, given how persistent he was.

It was the angriest I have ever felt coming off a call.

He certainly pushed a button in me. I do my best
to respect that people want what they want, and are
willing to take responsibility for what they perceive
are the potential risks, however, I am not always
willing to be a contributor. I was explaining to
someone recently that you can care about, and respect,
someone - without enabling them. If they shouldn't
smoke, I can respect that they make the choice to do
it, but I don't have to go out and buy them cigarettes.

In situations like these, each person it would seem
needs to make determinations for himself about what
to do. If one thinks that the choice to ask leaves
the burden of responsibility on the person who does
the asking, they may feel comfortable in doing things
that may even be perceived as troubling. However,
if there was ever a time that their choice may come
back to haunt them, as was in the case of Dr. Murray,
it might just have them think twice or more before
agreeing to fulfill the request.

I tell you this to tell you something about me.
I also tell you because there is something in
this for you. Others may not have your well being
in mind, and you may not always know what you don't
know and are getting yourself into.

As always, be careful and proceed with caution.

Hypnotic Landscape: Bigger than you think

I can not tell you how many times I speak
with someone who tells me that he doesn't
do "live" sessions with someone because
he wants to stay safe.

At the same time, he will listen to MP3s
and watch videos thinking that he is
somehow safe at a distance.

The problem is that many people do not
fully understand what hypnosis is, and
what it is capable of. You can be hypnotized
by text, by audio, by video, by someone who
never says a word. There are so many ways
that you can be not only affected, but
greatly manipulated by another, and not
realize what is happening until it is too
late.

Yes...having direct contact may seem more
scary, more real, and stronger, and perhaps
it could be, but I'd say while it may
SEEM to be that way, the greater danger IS
discounting/minimizing what can happen in
other contexts
.

Any questions? As always just ask.
Have a great weekend.

I don't like labels, but...

I have often spoken about how many things
are hypnotic, even when not labeled as
such. I talk about it because many times
I have found that people get into some
trouble with something that is hypnotic,
but don't know what happened, or understand
why it did.

I suppose being aware is a good thing.
The problem is becoming aware of the thing
you don't know you didn't know. How do you
know what to look for, or what to find out
if you don't have a "label" to search for?

I bring this up at the moment because there
is a lot of talk lately about how payment
processors are shying away from allowing
vendors to use any words with "hyp" in them.
Apparently it seems that they're not telling
hypnotists to stop doing hypnosis, but to
stop calling it that.

I have heard about this more in the erotic
hypnosis world than I have in the mainstream
one, so I don't know how the effects will
be rippling. However what seems to be clear
is that it is the word HYPNOSIS itself that
is the issue.

I have heard on occasion about laws that
could prohibit or limit the use of hypnosis,
and I have often wondered how anyone could
do that, given how prevalent it is in our
day to day life. It doesn't just happen
in official trance. Hypnotic effect doesn't
just happen when it is labeled "HYPNOSIS,"
or by someone labeled as a "HYPNOTIST."

I figured it would almost be a joke of sorts
if anyone ever really tried to regulate it
because it would just have those who knew
anything at all to be more covert in their
actions. Even a look can be hypnotic. The
only way one could absolutely prevent
something hypnotic from affecting another
would be to have people isolated from the
world.

So now, even though it is a legally viable
thing, it is in some way being regulated by
those who have the money. It sounds like the
banks are saying no to those using them to
have payments made for things labeled as
hypnosis.

As a result, they are forcing it to become
even more of what they seem to want to avoid,
as they've also used language, saying that
it must be clear that whatever "it" is called
is consensual. It has been questioned how
consensual can an experience be if a person
isn't truly aware of the effects of a particular
person, recording, or dynamic.

When does "consensual" begin? Is a person
saying to another when he calls that he
consents to whatever the other person wants
to do with him?

I can only guess that if this trend continues
there will be substitutes that will come into
play that will one day also be unacceptable.
Some would say this is censorship in action,
and I am not sure they'd be too far off.

At the same time, whenever one "plays" with
another, one must play be the other's rules,
especially if they want to play with what
the other has. So, to some degree, I must
sadly understand what the companies are doing.
They are setting their own rules for the
reasons they see fit - just as I do.

But...

What they are doing isn't so much saying we
won't play, but rather if you call it by
that name, we can't play. So what they're
really doing - and want those who "play"
in the profession to do - is play with
perception.

As much as it makes sense in one way, it
makes things worse in other ways. Any way
this gets sliced, it does not feel like we
are headed in a direction that is helpful
to anyone, even if we all agree to the
illusion that it could be helpful to
someone.

*Sigh*

As always, I suggest that you do what you
can to become aware of what can happen,
especially when you expect it least of all.

As with anything, I think this could turn
out to be good, as it could help people to
see that hypnosis isn't a separate thing
that is chosen, but rather one that is a
regular part of life in a myriad of ways.

Or...it could, devoid of a label, help
everything to blur in such a way that
people don't take the effort or time
to realize that something is going on
under the surface of their day to day
interactions, and therefore be more at
their effect.

Personally I prefer the first option, but
if we do not collectively become aware of
what is going on we may sadly be at the
result of the second one.

All together now...

Hypnotic Stupors & Hangovers

I had a friend who had never had liquor
before, and her first drink was a mixed
drink. Since it was her first drink,
the liquor was a minimal amount of the
total beverage.

She was drinking it, but wasn't feeling
the effects of the alcohol, so she
decided to add more to the drink.
Still not feeling it a few sips later,
she added more, and did it a few times
more, each time with less and less
orange juice diluting her drink.

You might guess what happened.

She woke up the next morning with a
pretty bad hangover.

I was reminded of this story today
because I brought it up as a metaphor
of what can happen with hypnosis.

Some people think that the recordings
and sessions are not affecting them,
and they keeping adding to the mix,
thinking that what they're doing will
help them feel the effects of
hypnosis.

But instead of it being a subtle and
slow effect, it becomes one that seems
to come from no where and can be quite
overwhelming.

For some, it can be a dream come true.

However...

If you are one of those types that
think that you aren't to be affected,
you may listen to some things that
aren't the type of things you would
ultimately like to have an effect
on you. And when it hits suddenly
you might be so "drunk," you won't
even know what's going on and some
hypnotic stupors and hangovers are
no fun, at all.

As always, play (& stay) safe.

On Generic Recordings & Self Hypnosis

I am listening to what someone is calling a
"Self Hypnosis" recording.

It is a very generic recording that talks
about taking action over and over and over,
and about changing one's thoughts in regard
to their financial situation.

The one thing that I can say about it that
might be helpful is that in speaking of
finances the hypnotist ties being
calm to feelings about money.

However, I personally feel that one is
misled in how the session is framed,
as the author of the recording is guiding
the session which makes it something other
than "self" hypnosis. It can't be "self"
hypnosis if someone else is guiding you.

I am not sure why this person thinks otherwise.
I suppose this might be one of those things
where there is some disagreement in how
something is looked at within the profession.

The recording is mostly the type of things
you might be told when you are awake and
alert, however, if you were to be in a
hypnotic state, the hypnotist would be
talking to your unconscious.

Telling your unconscious to change your
thinking and what to focus on is helpful
to some degree, as it will potentially get
you to pay attention to things that you
might not otherwise pay attention to.

However, while he is addressing the "things"
around one's financial situation, he isn't
necessarily addressing the "cause" of any
unconscious blocks or concerns.

Since this is a generic recording for the
"masses," one would have to create broad
brushstrokes and "hope" to touch on what
is affecting those who listen.

Because people vary in their suggestibility
and how they are hypnotized, there are
likely to be people who will listen to
the recording and feel like there is no
hypnosis involved, and that it is just a
soothing voice saying things that should
already be evident.

If it was that "easy" to change one's mind,
we'd all have a different one when it comes
to the things that don't seem to work for us.

While a recording like this might help to
some degree, any effect might not be very
long lasting since the cause of any issue(s)
may be lingering in the background.

This is not to say that one shouldn't
consider recordings like this, but rather
to make note of your experience. Couple
it with what you know of what is possible,
it will likely help guide what you do
next. For some it would be way to easy
to say "hypnosis doesn't work" or "hypnosis
is a sham" or any other number of negative
things that would be counterproductive for
you to actually enjoy and benefit from
hypnosis.

Most people can be hypnotized. The
experience of an individual will vary,
based on a number of factors, including
the ability of the hypnotist to induce
trance and to offer helpful perspective
and suggestion while the person is under.

As with any profession, those who practice
it will vary in their style, their approach,
and in their ability to effect the outcome
of the person on the receiving end of their
work.

It'd be nice if it was simple.
But what fun is that? :P

A Cautionary Tale | Jen 2.0

Sometime last year I became aware of a woman
who had gone through some incredible experiences
hypnotically. Some fun, but there was also a
darker cloud that surrounded her experience.

I know at one time she had planned to take
everything down in part due to all the
scrutiny and judgment and assessments of
others in regard to her experience.

What she relates is likely to be an unusual
set of circumstances, however there are pieces
that are possibilities for anyone who is opened
to the idea of trance and control.

The most recent entry that I saw of hers was
one called What Hypnosis Did for Me. It is
something worth checking out. There are also
links in the side bar, if you want to learn
more about her ordeal.

She makes a point in the entry about how she
could have benefited from trance without
having to have all of the negatives that
ultimately came along with her experience.

So many times people get involved with trance
as a way to cope with things in life that
aren't working for them. Trance can feel
wonderful, and it can cover up and distort
the original issue.

She is a brave woman to tell her story,
and I for one, am glad that she has
continued to tell her tale. Often people
believe "it's nothing," or that they are
unable to be adversely affected. Her
story says otherwise.

Is her experience likely to be that of
many others? Probably not. However, even
one more is two too many.

As always,

Hypnosis and Pain Management

Sometimes people ask about how hypnosis can
help with pain management.

The one thing that I tell those who are
interested, you want to be careful about
using hypnosis to curb pain as pain could
be an indicator that something requires
attention. If that was to be the case,
and you ignored it by turning off the pain
with hypnosis, it could be potentially
fatal.

If you are going to consider using hypnosis
for pain management, it should be for cases
in which you experience some form of chronic
pain, pain that has been identified, and
known to be more of nuisance than anything
else.

Hypnosis may not be able to take the pain
away all together, however it would have a
reasonably good shot at moderating it.

Of course, there are things that you can
sometimes do to moderate discomfort without
the use of hypnosis, and if you have a
headache, you may want to consider this
article's practical suggestions
.

When your life is a stake, it is wise to be
careful how you go about interacting with
your body's messages. If you have something
on-going that doesn't seem to be handling
itself, it might be time to at least rule
out anything that might require further
attention and/or treatment.

Once you do, if you'd like to find a greater
level of comfort, you might want to consider
the possibility that hypnosis could alter
your relationship to the pain you are
experiencing.

One final note, be careful with anyone who
might be willing to address your concerns
without addressing (or steps over) these
considerations. On top of the concern you
should have for your own well being, you
should also know that in many cases, hypnosis
to treat a physical ailment will be in
violation of a law, unless it is in conjunction
with a qualified medical professional.

Be well, and may you never have a need to
use this information. :) As always, any
questions, please feel free to ask!

what does stress cost you...?

Today someone called me, and he was so stressed.

He hasn't called for a while because he has
been working hours, many stressful hours.

When I suggested that he might have considered
calling me for stress relief hypnosis, he said
that he was really just wanting to come really
hard.

I can totally get that.

And...

I get that it might be difficult to ask someone
that you get horny with to help with the stress,
and it might seem smart to keep it separate.

However, if you know me, you know that I always
deliver. We can take moments to address the
stress, which in turn will make everything else
that much better.

Even if you don't want to call because you are
horny, and can't just justify it financially,
it might be worth every penny to call to cope
with your stress.

You would be amazed at how easily I can juggle
the different needs you may have.

I would hope that you would never stay away
if you were really stressed out. You might
think you're doing the best thing, however, your
choice might be costing you in other ways.

Just something to think about, and feel free
to write me if you think I can help. There is
a whole lotta stress going on these days, and
I have to wonder if it makes sense to use hypnosis
only for pleasure when it can be successfully
used for "real" life challenges.

All the best to you...Have a great week.

WOW!

I just calculated how many calls live calls I have taken as Isis on http://www.Niteflirt.com/isistheenchantress. I have been Isis
nearly 4 years. However, to be fair, Isis The Enchantress hasn't
always done hypnosis. Also every call hasn't always led to hypnosis.
Some calls have been disconnected, and other wonderful things
have happened on the way to me doing my "thing."

However, having said all of that, I still think "WOW" when I realized
today that I have taken 6000 calls during these 4 years, with the
majority being me as Isis The Enchantress, Erotic/Sensual Hypnotist.

Why do I share this? Well...

I share it in part, to thank you for the part you may have had in this
milestone. I have mostly enjoyed my time as Isis, and appreciate
all who have been a part of my experience. I have "met" some really
great people, and would at this point call some of them friends.

In addition, I was thinking about
why someone might
want to call me.
To you, it may speak to
the variety of people and erotic sessions
that I have been exposed to.
It may speak to my having the experience
that will make your experience
the best it can be.
It may tell you that
I have people like
you calling me again and again
(or again even after a long
time of silence) because
there is something that
they appreciate about
me/what I have to offer.

It may also tell you something totally different.
If so, I would love for you
to tell me what YOU think of my milestone.

Thanks for being a part of my world.
Have a great week.

How did "Isis The Enchantress" Come to Be?

On several occasions, I have been asked how I got started, as well as why I picked the name I did, so I thought I would share a little bit about it here.

Once upon a time...

In a galaxy far, far away...

Ok. Let me get serious for a moment. It'll be a moment, and then it'll be gone - until the next one. So catch it while you can.

Around eight, or so, years ago I took a hypnosis course. The subject always interested me, so I decided to learn more. While taking the class, which discussed stopping smoking, stress relief, and losing weight, I remember thinking how it could be interesting to use hypnosis for more "interesting" things. I thought about how it could be, perhaps, in the context of a relationship.

I remember the thoughts, but then nothing happening with it. That is, until about 3-4 years ago. At that time, I was aware of Niteflirt, and saw listings with these women who used hypnosis for erotic means. I wondered if I could do it. Once someone had called me on a "regular" listing and asked if I did hypnosis. I explained to him that I did, but have never done it erotically.

He said he was willing to take a chance and, unfortunately, I bombed.

I used a script, and it was a non-erotic one, at that. That experience left me thinking that I might be better off staying away from doing what others seemed to be doing so well.

It seems that there were other things in store for me. Time and time again, my regulars would say how "hypnotic" I was. They would tell me that my voice was hypnotic. And this was all while I was just being "myself."

Once again, I revisited this erotic hypnosis idea, this time using my regular callers as my "guinea pigs." Anyone who was interested was given a really low per minute rate (much less than a dollar, I believe) and was told to expect to be on the phone with me for an hour. I sat down and I wrote a script.

The first call I read the script practically word for word. The second one, was more or less the same. By the third call, I was already winging it. I was making the stuff up as I went along. No one ever taught me how to do erotic hypnosis (who in the world would "teach" something like this any way??), so I just went with my sensual nature, and made stuff up along the way.

The hypnotist I am now is much different than the hypnotist that tentatively entered the erotic, hypnotic waters. It even morphed in the first six months, and has continued to morph. Anyone who would have called me back then, wouldn't recognize me now. I have also cut down the length of a first call considerably to a minimum of 30 minutes.

Odds are really good that that much time won't be needed, however, oftentimes it is time well spent for the caller. (A new caller often has no idea what to expect, and likely thinks 30 minutes can be overkill, or about the money. After the fact, if he is a willing subject, he is able to see otherwise, as he tries to compose himself - smile.)

I learned as I went along, changing, growing, adapting. Some of my callers presented different ideas and challenges (and still do). The ultimate experience that someone can have now is greatly enhanced by those who have come before. So you can, in a way, thank all of the horny boys that came before you. You can also thank all of those who have had a hypno-fetish for years. Their passion, interest, and excitement for the subject has many times inspired me.

As to why I use the name Isis, I think I'll leave that for another day. If you're interested, it'll give you something to look forward to.

Feel free to comment, and/or email me. I'd love to hear from you.

Have a great day!
