URGENT: Phishing Advisory

I just saw this post in Niteflirt's Forums, and
am passing it along. Please read it, and take
action.

Apparently several accounts were hacked this
past weekend.


If you are using a yahoo.com email address on your NiteFlirt account you are at risk, and you need to change your email address to a non-yahoo address, and change your NiteFlirt password right away. Once you do that you are no longer at risk from the UK hacker method of hacking.

The UK Hacker is phishing Yahoo passwords with a fake Yahoo log-on page, and collecting Yahoo passwords from flirts and customers. With a flirt's or customer's Yahoo password he is able to request a lost password here on NiteFlirt and then check the Yahoo account for the email from NiteFlirt that they send out in reply to the request. Then he's into the NiteFlirt account easily!

If you are using a yahoo.com email address on your NiteFlirt account you really need to change it immediately. DO NOT THINK THAT BECAUSE YOU NOW KNOW YOU WON'T BE FOOLED BY A PHISHING LINK!!! He may already have your password, and you don't even know it.

Several years ago I was fooled by a phishing site that got my Yahoo password, but as soon as I tried to log on and it didn't work I recognized it for what it was, and I immediately changed my password before my account was compromised. I could have easily missed it however. Don't think you can't be fooled too.

If you ARE using a yahoo.com email address on your NiteFlirt account change it to something other than a yahoo address, and change your NiteFlirt password, then you have nothing to worry about.

Apparently, if you are not using a yahoo.com email address on your NiteFlirt account then you have nothing to worry about.
