Another person from the musical past has passed away, and
I just love this song that he sang. I don't know about you,
but I can relate to the idea that someone can bring wonderful
things into my life by bringing their own form of "sunshine."

I am grateful and appreciate the type of gift that is invaluable
and, as intangible as it may seem to be, has more substance
than most anything I could ever buy.

Perhaps you'll relate - and enjoy the song, too.
It is quite catchy.

Heart of My Heart | Video

I just heard the news about Mitch Miller passing away.

My grandparents were big fans of the man. I hadn't
thought much about him, and actually thought he was
probably deceased before now.

I went to YouTube and found some of his work, and
thought given all the talk about love here lately,
the video below was a good choice.

It's a beautiful song from a very different time.
I can't help but wonder what kind of life those men
had, and if they ever had thoughts like what men of
today seem to have, and if so what they did with
them. I also can't help but wonder what they would
have thought of erotic hypnosis, LOL.

To look at the video is to almost see naivete...
the question is was there more hidden or was it a
much more innocent time?

Mitch lived to the age of 99.
Imagine the different
worlds he must have seen.

Life is a Moving Target

I just saw an ad for Target Stores, and there was
a line they used for advertising, "Life is a Moving
Target." I laughed because it was right after I
posted my last blog entry.

While I was speaking about moving targets, there
is an element that fits...after all, we are always
going after something, and unfortunately we don't
always have a game like environment telling us that
we won or flashing words in lights that the game
is over, and that we can just start again. We
also don't usually view our life events in the
same way as we do a game.

Some will take gaming seriously, however for the
most part, it is what it is, and it is over when it
ends, or when we stop. Sometimes life is meant to
be taken seriously, and sometimes we could afford to
lighten up.

Perhaps there is something to be learned from the
mentality that comes with game playing that can be
applied in our daily life. While you're thinking
about it, have some fun with the game below (and
watch out for those ghosts in your life!)

Sequoia Trees are huge trees, but they didn't get
that way over night. Each moment another part of
the tree grew in relation to what was already there.

If what we are growing is something we want, it is
worth the wait, as there is a foundation for what
we come to have.

Sometimes we just want to get things "over with"
because we don't want to face what seems to be the
enormity of it all. It's too bad that things don't
often - and actually quite rarely - work that way.

At the same time, we underestimate the value of what
we are building upon. It is a paradox that one is never
at a destination without simultaneously beginning a
new journey. If unable to see that, what is happening
might seem like one very long, overwhelming journey
in which you never feel like you are making any progress.

Journeys have unexpected events. It is inherent in
what a journey is about. No way to truly know
something until you are in the midst of it.

As with pretty much everything, how we interact
with things in life can also apply to one's hypnotic
experience. I often find that there is an impatience
on some people's part for things to happen.

Some want to be "instant" mindless zombies, and can
be impatient with the process of what can take them
there. Think about it, if you could instantly be
there, how would you know you were there, if you
were mindless, and how would you know what that was
if you would cease to be able to tell that there
was something that had taken place.

You want what you want, in part,
because it contrasts with what you know.

The best thing you can do is take one step at a
time, and interact with things as they happen.
You could anticipate what you think might happen,
but odds are you still may be surprised, and the
moment will take care of itself. It can be times
like that that magic seems to happen.

Allowing life (or a hypnotic experience) to unfold
can be quite difficult if you always want things
figured out before you even start. About the only
thing that you can have some certainty about from
moment to moment is that you will take the next step
along the way, and while there may be some leaps,
most of them will be likely be small; and I bettcha
if you do that you'll be here exactly where you want
to be before you know it. ;)
